Carpe diem!!  (Seize the carp!!)

"Nae fabled wizard's wand I trow

Had e'er the magic airt o' Gow,

When, wi' a wave, he draws his bow

Across his wondrous fiddle!"

The above verse comes from the poem, "To Mr Gow, Visiting Dumfries" (From "The Songs & Poems of Robert Burns", James Barke edition, published in 1955).  Listen to the complete poem on the album "Niel Gow's Fiddle" (Track 1).
